Further to my previous post I figure bigsight could be ahead of the game with FriendCSV. Aligning Gmail contacts with Facebook friends would be super great even if the use was limited to having your friends FB profile picture show up in Gmail contacts and their birthday in Google calendar. What about having their location show up in Google maps and their status updates show up in Google reader?

How about having their phone number show up in Skype?

Whatever, if bigsight can manage to bridge OpenSocial and Facebook they could find themselves with a killer app, and the rest of us could find ourselves not having to choose between social networks.

I quite like MyBlogLog (see my sidebar). I was looking at it earlier and wondering how easy it would be to build a bot to spam the referers, and how many of my readers were real. I think a referer spambot for MyBlogLog.com would be a great way to gain targetted traffic to any blog, especially whilst the widgets are new, and blog owners and visitors are following that natural nosey instinct that people have to see who else is interested in the same stuff as them.

I’m pretty sure someone must have built this by now, and I’m just wondering who will be the first to admit using it?

DaveN recently launched a new social site called TickMe where all the cool kids of SEO are hanging out (probably along with a bunch of people trying to get laid).

This plugin adds a TickMe.com ribbon to the top right of your WordPress Blog, with a link to your profile on TickMe. The original idea and code was stolen from SEOidiot, but I’m sure he doesn’t mind.
Installation:

Download the plugin

Unzip

Upload to wp-content/plugins/

Activate under Dashboard >> Plugins

Add your username under Dashboard >> Plugins >> TickMe

Happy socialising!
