PHP Templating System Video Tutorial

Esruns third video shows how php can be used to create a website templating system. A useful video for anyone interested in dynamic sites; although this video may be considered Black Hat, there are techniques taught here that are useful to any web developer.

How to Scrape Search Results

I have found Esrun’s videos invaluble when creating php applications to interface with the web. For anyone new to php they show the power of a few simple lines of code. Here is a link to the first one that I posted a while ago: How to Scrape Keywords

aLinks Plugin For Wordpress As A SEO Tool

I’m surprised more people aren’t using the excellent aLinks plugin as a tool for creating temporary deep links in Wordpress blogs. Wordpress is the SEO’s choice for content management, and aLinks makes it really easy to change any keyword or keyphrase in the database into a link (the plugin actually creates the link on the fly when the content is being printed to the screen, it does not change the text in the database).

Relevant deep links are of increasing SEO value as more traditional methods of producing links (see directories and article marketing) are being devalued. If someone like text-link-ads.com were to produce a similar plugin to integrate with their link sales system it would be a great improvement on the blogroll style links they are selling now.

I’m going to grab a copy (if I can find a bookseller that will order it in for me, Amazon.com.au is soo long overdue ~ otherwise someone is just going to have to post me a copy). I’m expecting a good read if Jamie’s Blog is anything to go by.

Bit sneaky having a birthday and publishing a book within a few days of each other Jamie, double link juice duty…

Learn (Blackhat) PHP coding with Esrun

If you’re new to PHP coding like me, and have an interest in automating tasks and producing mashups (or even simple blackhat sites) then you will really appreciate these great tutorial videos from Esrun. I can’t believe SEOidiot didn’t tell me about these vids. I guess that’s another reason for his name.
In the videos Esrun demonstrates how to build code to:

I’ve subscribed for updates on YouTube and I suggest that you do too.
