Fringing Amazing

I have always been frustrated by the lack of a symbian client for Skype and MSN. Today I found fring… it is amazing… and free… I’m still looking for the catch.

Looks like it has some problems working as with MSN, but I can forgive it that.

Preston Rocks: It’s official

On the 19th & 20th of May BBC Radio 1 is coming to Preston with Europe’s largest free music festival. Preston is my English hometown, and is also the home of SEOidiot. Check out some flickr photos of Preston.

Happy Birthday Pete

Happy Birthday GADOOD you old fool :)

And I am waiting for my girlfriend to get out of the shower so I can go get curry & beer.

Wikipedia

Jaimie Sirovich has made a (belated) post about Wikipedia nofollowing all their outbound links. I never commented on this issue when it first arose, but Jaimies clever title brought his article to my attention. He suggests that Wikipedia nofollow outbounds for the first 90 days. I think this is a bit silly as Google et al can currently decide the age of a link and weight it accordingly should they decide to do so - and Wikipedia and other sites ‘aging’ links on-site would just complicate matters even further.

No-one seems to have realised that Wikipedia is worthwhile spamming for traffic alone never mind PR, so the spam ain’t going to stop.

Back To Work

Well I’m back from my holidays. Did you miss me? The funny thing about living in Narrabeen and going on holiday is that it is difficult to find a better place to be. We visited some areas in on the South Coast of NSW that we hadn’t been to before, some truly beautiful places down there.

Whilst on holiday I even got to visit a cheese factory, where all the cruddy Australian cheese comes from (Ozzies can’t do cheese like the British, or tea ~ I got a cream tea in Kiama and they served the scones with SQUIRTY CREAM OUT OF A CAN!!)

Not much seems to have gone on t’internet whilst I have been away, apart from the return of Esrun! Welcome back Stephen. If you have an interest in rally driving or teaching yourself to paraglide I suggest you get over there and have a read of Esrun’s blog.
