TickMe.com Plugin For WordPress

Tickme

DaveN recently launched a new social site called TickMe where all the cool kids of SEO are hanging out (probably along with a bunch of people trying to get laid).

This plugin adds a TickMe.com ribbon to the top right of your WordPress Blog, with a link to your profile on TickMe. The original idea and code was stolen from SEOidiot, but I’m sure he doesn’t mind.
Installation:

  1. Download the plugin
  2. Unzip
  3. Upload to wp-content/plugins/
  4. Activate under Dashboard >> Plugins
  5. Add your username under Dashboard >> Plugins >> TickMe

Happy socialising!

Duplicate Content According to Google

Great article on duplicate content from Adam Lasnik on the Google Webmaster Central blog (via Web Gurrila Gurrula Monkey).

DaveN’s Camper Spam

Camperspam

First we had camperporn, now there is camperspam. Nice one DaveN.

Extract Color Codes From Any Webpage

I quite often draw inspiration for color schemes from the web pages of others. I Like Your Colors is an awesome tool from Red Alt which extracts color codes from the html and css of any webpage. A great idea, and pretty neat execution too!

Shout out to the Snagman

Most butchers in Australia only produce beef sausages, which are ok I guess, but not as good as proper pork sausages. We visited our local award-winning butcher The Snagman yesterday ~ he turns out sausages in many different guises and he is truely proud of his produce. We had a few of his pork snags on the barbie yesterday ~ very nice indeed. Looking forward to collecting our Christmas order on Friday.
