Expired Domains Prime for Scraping

SEO egghead’s post about penalties associated with expired domains leads me to think an excellent blackhat technique would be to exploit lists of expired domains AFTER they had been snapped. Grabbing feeds from these sites for scraper sites could provide content unique in the eyes of Google.

Not my kind of thing, but I know some people who might think it a good idea.

Defrosting after the Virgin festival

This post is coming to you from my gym. We spent 6 hours travelling back from the Virgin festival only to find the power off at home – which means defrosted fridge, no shower, no cooking and angry girlfriend.

Bah!

Adsense blending – another example

This simple little site about heartburn is another great example of adsense blending. The ads and navigation are blended together in a similar way to this example.

AOL digging for gold in spammers back yard

This has to be one of the funniest things I have read in a while – AOL intends to search for gold and platinum bars they suspect are buired at the home of Davis Wolfgang Hawke’s parents on two acres in Medfield, Massachusetts.

Hawke was the central character in the book ‘Spam kings‘. AOL won $12.8 million against him in a lawsuit – Hawke was spamming their email users. AOL have not been able to recover any of the money as it seems that Hawke bought gold & platinum bars with the $600,000 a month he was earning, and AOL believe he buried it in his mothers back yard!
